Custom Furniture

Made to measure,
built to last

Custom furniture gives you something that simply doesn't exist off a shelf — a piece built to the exact dimensions of your space, in the finish you want, designed for how you actually live. We build bespoke freestanding furniture alongside our cabinetry work, applying the same in-house manufacturing and attention to detail.

What we build

Entertainment Units

Custom-built TV units and entertainment wall units designed to your room dimensions and AV requirements. Cable management, component storage, and display shelving all considered in the design. A built-in unit integrates with your room in a way no flat-pack product can.

We can design around wall-mounted TVs or recessed panels and accommodate any component size.

Dining Tables & Benches

Bespoke dining tables in timber veneer or with laminate tops. Designed to the exact size your room and family require. Custom dining benches and accompanying sideboards also available.

Freestanding Storage

Custom sideboards, buffets, linen towers, storage towers, and display cabinets. These pieces are built to the same standard as our cabinetry — fully custom dimensions, finish, and hardware — but designed to stand alone rather than be fixed to a wall.

Bookshelves & Display

Custom bookshelves, library walls, and display units. Whether it's a single alcove shelf, a full wall of shelving with integrated lighting, or a freestanding bookcase, we design around your space and collection.

Home Office

Custom desks, hutches, and home office storage built to fit your space. A custom home office can incorporate exactly the storage, cable routing, and surface area your work requires — with a finish that matches the rest of your home.

How it works

01

Brief & Consultation

Tell us what you're after — dimensions, function, finish preferences, and any inspiration images you have. We can visit your space or work from measurements you provide.

02

Design & Renders

We produce detailed drawings and 3D renders so you can see the piece before anything is built. This is the stage to refine dimensions, finishes, and details.

03

Approval & Deposit

Once the design is finalised, a deposit confirms the order. We then begin sourcing materials and scheduling production.

04

Build & Delivery

The piece is built in-house at our Coorparoo workshop. On completion we arrange delivery and installation — or pickup from the workshop if preferred.

Materials & finishes

Timber Veneer

Real wood veneer over a stable MDF or particleboard substrate. Provides the warmth of natural timber with excellent dimensional stability. Available in a wide range of species and stain options.

2Pac

High-gloss or satin polyurethane finish over MDF. Produces a smooth, contemporary look in any colour. The premium finish option for furniture pieces where appearance is the priority.

Melamine

Durable, cost-effective, and available in a wide range of colours and wood grain patterns. An excellent finish for storage and utility pieces where budget is a consideration.

Common questions

Can I bring in a sketch or inspiration image?

Absolutely. We work from rough sketches, Pinterest boards, architectural drawings, or a verbal brief. The more detail you can provide about what you're after, the more accurately we can quote and design.

Do you use solid timber or timber veneer?

We primarily work with timber veneer over a stable MDF or particleboard substrate — this gives a natural timber appearance with better dimensional stability than solid wood. Solid timber accents (legs, edges, handles) can be incorporated. Speak to us about your specific requirements.

Can you match existing furniture or cabinetry in my home?

In many cases yes, particularly with melamine and 2Pac finishes. For veneer matching we'll discuss what's possible at the quoting stage — grain and tone can vary between production runs.

Is there a minimum order for custom furniture?

No formal minimum, but some smaller individual pieces may not be cost-effective compared to quality off-the-shelf options. We're happy to advise honestly during the quoting stage.

Do you do upholstered pieces or anything with fabric?

We focus on timber and board-based cabinetry and furniture. We don't upholster, but we can build the carcass for a piece that a separate upholsterer finishes — this is common for window seats, banquettes, and headboards.
